GALA DINNER

Glasgow Marriott Hotel

THURSDAY 9th SEPTEMBER 2010
GALA DINNER & DRINKS RECEPTION
GLASGOW MARRIOTT HOTEL

CLOSED

Set in a bustling, cosmopolitan city, the luxurious 4 star Glasgow Marriott Hotel is the venue for our gala dinner and drinks reception in the company of  Charlie Duke.

It is in an ideal location in Glasgow city centre whether you are coming by train, car or taxi from the airport.

With a red carpet entrance, the Clyde Foyer is the setting for our pre-dinner drinks reception. Commencing at 7pm, this is the perfect opportunity for space fans, guests and sponsors to meet on an informal, relaxed basis and chat with Charlie over a drink.

During the reception from 7.45 - 8.15, you have the opportunity to have a souvenir photograph taken by our professional photographer.  Don't risk your camera letting you down or not getting in a shot alone with Charlie!
Your photo will be printed during the meal and will be available for you to take home on the night after the meal. (See below for more details)

At 8.15 we will move to the adjoining Queen Mary Suite for our 3 course meal served with coffee and mints.

Around 9.30 there will be an auction of some Charlie Duke items that Charlie has agreed to personalise on request for the winner.

Following this David Woods, author of the book How Apollo Flew to the Moon, will say a few words about the wonder of the Apollo era, after which Charlie Duke will give a short speech.

MAKE SURE YOU DON'T MISS OUT ON A PERFECT PHOTOGRAPH!!

Souvenir Photograph taken with Charlie Duke.

The photos will be taken during the drinks reception and delivered to you at the end of the meal.  Your souvenir photograph is 10" x 8" and includes a folder mount.   It will be taken against a green backdrop and the lunar image will be added by the photographer.
It will be similar to the image below with the Apollo 16 Lunar Module Orion in the background.

As we do not want to restrict people's time to chat with Charlie, the number of souvenir photographs will be strictly limited and available on a first come-first served basis, so order early to avoid disappointment.

In the unlikely event that the photograph is unavailable it will be posted out to you.
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the result you will be given a full refund.
